      Who You Are:

      The Director, Human Resources Business Partner reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is responsible for the success of HR programs across all departments within CIEE’s Study Abroad division (formerly known as Outbound Exchanges). This role partners with CIEE senior leaders in the U.S. and across more than 42 international centers to implement HR best practices. Core responsibilities include performance management, compliance with global labor laws, labor relations support (in coordination with legal counsel), and recruitment support.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders across the Study Abroad division, supporting organizational effectiveness, change initiatives, and talent strategies.
      • Lead the resolution of complex HR issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, employee development, and coaching.
      • Coach leaders on developing internal talent pipelines and succession planning for key roles.
      • Ensure global compliance with CIEE policies and local labor laws by supporting site leaders and contributing to the development and enforcement of consistent, locally informed HR policies.
      • Support global employee engagement efforts by gathering and reporting feedback, and collaborating with leadership to enhance the employee experience.
      • Partner with Talent Acquisition and other HR functions to support staffing and recruitment initiatives as needed.

      What You’ll Bring:

      • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least 6 years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years as an HR Business Partner in a multinational or globally focused organization.
      • Proven success in an international HRBP role, with deep knowledge of global and U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
      • Strong consulting, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills; analytical and solutions-oriented.
      • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
      • Skilled in building trusted relationships and managing confidential matters with integrity and professionalism.
      • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities, respond quickly, and keep stakeholders informed.
      • Solid understanding of core HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and learning & development.
      • Experience navigating complex employee relations and organizational challenges with simple, effective solutions.
      • Results-driven, people-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
