- Develop, implement and oversee all insurance and wealth management programs offered by MCU to increase value provided to the members.
- Ensure that programs comply with all applicable regulations and policies.
- Work with the insurance and wealth management professionals, providing ongoing guidance and support to ensure that individuals meet performance standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, insurance providers, and wealth management companies to identify and execute strategies to increase member participation and engagement to drive revenue and growth in insurance and wealth management programs.
- Work with teammates that serve members to ensure that they are providing members with appropriate products and services.
- Work with insurance providers and wealth management companies to negotiate contracts, establish performance metrics, and monitor performance.
- Manage relationships with third-party providers of insurance and wealth management products and services. Third-party vendors include, but not limited to Ameriprise, CUNA Mutual/TruStage, PFP, Allied Solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products and services, and changes in regulations that may affect insurance and wealth management programs.
- Work with marketing and communications teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and educational resources to increase member awareness of insurance and wealth management programs.
- Work with Learning and Development to provide training and job aides to employees on the benefits of the insurance programs.
- Monitor program performance metrics and adjust programs as needed to meet goals.
- Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of working experience.
- Series 6, 63, Life & Health licenses preferred not required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance and wealth management programs, including at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance and wealth management products, services, and regulations.
- Proven track record of driving growth and profitability in similar programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other credit union leaders, insurance providers, and wealth management companies.
- Ability to think strategically and execute on plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
