Job Summary Responsible for producing technology solutions that satisfy business and product needs both now and for the future. Focuses on technology strategy for the development of future and current products. Monitors technical and engineering progress to ensure strategies, goals and objectives are met. Aligns operational plans with business objectives. Communicates changes to all affected personnel. Provides leadership and direction for team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget. Job Description The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology and our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience. About the Team: Comcast has identified Metro-e Ethernet services and Business Internet services as key areas of growth and scaling within Commercial data services portfolio, and within CONNECT and Commercial Network & Service Engineering organization. The Network service providers industry faces urgent network service-scaling and time-to-market challenges, and total cost of ownership reduction for network services such as Metro Ethernet, Internet, and security services. A highly distributed, orchestrated, and network optimized Network Services Edge Virtualizations (NSEV) is one of critical strategies for service providers to overcome those challenges and propel to desirable next generations networks for converted wireline and wireless network services. NSEV is to leverage network optimized edge solutions derived from multiple latest architecture and technologies, such as 5G mobile network and software architectures; disaggregated hardware and software and leverage standard multi-vendors Whitebox; Network Functions Virtualizations (NFV) of SDWAN and SASE service; highly scalable automated orchestrated cloud services. NSEV is to enable global network scale from edge-to-edge, to deliver consistent, pervasive connectivity, security, and network services wherever they reside, independent of underlying physical infrastructure and access technology, and to interrupt network costs projectory and drastically lower total cost of ownership. About the Role: The Director is part leadership teams responsible for next generation Comcast core and edge networks, network cloud, and business direction, with focusing on Metro Ethernet and Internet Services. As a technical and business leader of NSEV architecture, in collaboration with many technical and business organizations, you will be responsibility for the comprehensive assessments of architecture and roadmap, articulate and present strategy with EVP/SVP/VP technical and financial leaderships, leading lab and field trials of prototypes technology and solutions, leading vendors options assessments and selection, planning development investments, capital investments, and operation investments options. This leader may also lead an organization with high caliber network, software, and systems architects, and to be responsible for a typical organizational leader role: budget, resource planning, recruiting, talent development. Skills & Experience We're Looking For: Highly skillful and deep experiences and knowledges in architecture surrounding network hardware and software disaggregation, hypervisor and container technology, horizontally scalable microservices, network function virtualizations of Internet, VPN, WIFI, SDWAN, SASE etc. Experience surrounding 5G mobile core and access networks, specifications, solutions; SD-RAN, Mobile Core, 3GPP standards, network protocols, procedures, implementation. Experience surrounding Internet and IP Service including firewalls, VLANs, IP/MPLS/Ethernet network technologies protocols, Private Line, Private LAN, Dedicated Internet, IPVPN implementations. Highly resourceful in Network Orchestration architecture, specification, and design. Experience working within service provider networks in a technical and business planning capacity is required. Team orientated, collaborative with peers demonstrating strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Professional presentation and communication skills to address all levels of the enterprise. Proven track record to create excellent working relationships with diverse teams and job functions throughout the organization. Responsive to changing requirements.
