      Job Description:

      ED-Paramedic

      Part Time I Third Shift

      Emergency Department I Lexington, KY

      Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or a professional registered nurse. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

      Description:

      • Patient Assessment in conjunction with an RN repeat assessment.
      • Provides care to the ED patient.
      • Accurate Documentation of care provided into EMR system.
      • Ensures positive customer relations interactions.

      Requirements:

      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire date.
      • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
