- Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HIM applications and processes. Serve as a subject matter expert on health information laws and regulations including release of information, medical records management, confidentiality, information storage and retrieval, designated record set, and electronic health records management.
- Collaborate with other leaders to roll out new initiatives or technologies, update performance measures and tracking, and institute educational opportunities for coworkers.
- Participate in and lead committee or workgroups with clear roles, understandable information, and actionable outcomes to implement changes, resolve issues, and ensure ongoing effectiveness.
- Identify, develop, and support implementation of internal process improvement solutions that support the HIM division. Assist with data gathering, research, testing, and partnering with education and training for delivery of workflow changes.
- Monitor and resolve interface errors in the EHR and document management system to ensure medical record data files correctly and timely.
- Associate's Degree - Required
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- 2 years EHR Experience - Required
- 1 year process Improvement Activities - Preferred
- 2 years Health Information Management Experience - Required
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required or
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required
