- Identify and evaluate workplace EHS conditions, practices, and compliance risks.
- Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions, processes, and safe work practices.
- Provide guidance on compliance with city, state, and federal EHS regulations and requirements.
- Develop and implement controls to eliminate or mitigate identified hazards.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, policies, and procedures; recommend improvements to reduce incidents and injuries.
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and report incident and exposure data; develop corrective action recommendations to reduce risk.
- Investigate workplace incidents (accidents, injuries, near-misses, occupational illnesses) to determine root cause and implement preventive measures.
- Report and review findings from incident investigations, facility inspections, and environmental testing.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and operational processes.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- Recommend the purchase of safety equipment and supplies based on facility needs and risk assessments.
- Direct environmental compliance programs for hazardous waste management, air and water compliance, and community right-to-know programs.
- Manage regulatory reporting and documentation, including OSHA 300 logs, Tier II reporting, TRI/Form R reporting, and Residual/Biennial reporting.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory.
- Conduct/coordinate industrial hygiene testing to ensure healthy workplace conditions.
- Develop and deliver specialized safety and environmental training materials and programs.
- Coordinate new employee EHS orientation with plant leadership and site safety champions.
- Partner with plant safety committees to strengthen employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on Workers’ Compensation, injury support, and case management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities within areas of responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards.
- Knowledge of EPA and applicable state environmental regulations (air emissions, waste regulations, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and execute strategies for measurable improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong independent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of EHS management/coordination experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing a hands-on, multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Experience with traveling EHS roles.

Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety ManagerJob DescriptionThe Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will lead and execute environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing and industrial sites. This role involves overseeing four locations in close collaboration with another safety professional managing additional sites. The EHS Manager is tasked with ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, environmental laws, standards, and internal safety policies, ultimately safeguarding employees, visitors, and contractors.
ResponsibilitiesThis role involves regular travel to assigned locations within a multi-site setting, depending on business needs. The work environment is a combination of office, production floor, and field work in a manufacturing/industrial setting. The EHS Manager must maintain a consistent, safety-first mindset and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, and deadlines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
