- Leading and supervising a team of electrical craftspersons.
- Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance across NHS facilities.
- Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on a wide range of electrical systems including LV circuits, switchgear, and generators.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and NHS Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs).
- Coordinating contractor works and contributing to service planning and delivery.

- National Diploma in relevant Electrical Engineering discipline
- Completed time served Recognised apprenticeship preferably indentured of at least 4 years
- Authorised Person for LV, or equivalent previous trade knowledge & Experience
- Previous Electrical Engineer experience within a large organisation.
- Knowledge of safe system of work procedures.
- Knowledge of NHS legislation, including confidentiality, health and safety, manual handling and data protection, Electrical HTM guidance.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Electrical & Plant and Equipment / Some Mechanical experience
- Have experience of working in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Full driving licence (car) Required to drive Trust vehicles
- National Diploma in relevant Electrical Engineering discipline

This is more than just a maintenance role, it's an opportunity to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors by ensuring our hospital infrastructure runs smoothly and safely.
You'll cover the Trust sites in the Mendip area including Frome and Shepton Mallet Community Hospitals, Priory Health Park and Glastonbury Health Centre.
The role also offers a Recruitment and Retention payment of £3500 per year in addition to the annual salary.
