      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead grievance handling and workplace investigations, preparing responses for mediations and arbitrations
      - Partner with managers to resolve employee performance or conduct issues, ensuring fair practices
      - Serve as a resource during collective bargaining, drafting proposals and analyzing data
      - Monitor and analyze proposed labor and employment legislation, recommending policy changes
      - Oversee the performance management program and assist with employee training and development

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in human resources, public or business administration, or a closely related field
      - Minimum of four years of experience in professional and analytical human resources work in employee relations
      - At least two years of experience in labor relations, classification and compensation, recruitment and selection, employee benefits, payroll, training and organizational development, workers' compensation, or equal employment opportunities
      - Experience in a public agency setting is desirable
      - Strong written and oral communication skills with high emotional intelligence

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification(s) in Human Resources, such as SHRM-CP or SPHR
      - Experience conducting workplace investigations
      - Familiarity with performance management processes and employee evaluation programs
