This is a key post within asmallclose-knit team providing support for all end user device related services provided by D&I.

Involvement in the delivery of the Problem Management function for D&I.

The post holder willbe requiredtoassistwithmaintainingand managing the client device estate.

To ensure all client documentation is kept up to date and published in the correct format.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

Provide assurance that the Trustmaintainsa "warranted environment" that is fit for purpose. Including both hardware and the change control of device images.

Productexpert for all client related tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Imprivata OneSign, antivirus,Intune.Ensure these systems are kept up to date and fit for purpose.Please note that this list is not exhaustive and will change as other systems come online.

Technical assessment and approval of hardware variationneedstemming from requests received by Procurement.

Input into device initiatives and strategies such as BYOD.

- Educated to degree level or suitable equivalent demonstrable experience in IT.
- MCSE or demonstrable experience to an equivalent level of ability
- Where not already held, must be prepared to undergo sponsored training and achieve formal qualifications in core skills
- Holder of (or working towards) formal qualification in IT related field
- Previous demonstrable experience of major Hospital systems
- Ability to travel between sites
- IT Engineer, with at least 2 years' demonstrable experience of technically supporting users in the many of the software and hardware platforms listed in the Job Description
- Previous demonstrable experience in a hospital environment
- Good technical and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner with good accurate, keyboard skills
- Ability to quickly absorb technical detail and learn & apply and technical solutions.
- Ability to work unsupervised solving complex problems.
- Levels of access to otherwise personal and/or sensitive information mean that post-holder must be able to exercise an extremely high level of tact, discretion and diplomacy
- Previous demonstrable experience in customer-facing environment
- Previous track record in technical problem-solving
