      The Opportunity: Canadian Natural has an exciting opportunity for a Greenhouse Gas (“GHG”) Engineer to join our Environmental Group. Reporting to the Supervisor, Environmental Operations, you will be responsible to conduct analysis of GHG emissions to provide strategic recommendations to address evolving GHG policies and legislation aligned with the opportunities of the Canadian Natural emissions profiles. Key Accountabilities: - Working with federal and provincial governments on new GHG management policies, strategies and regulations affecting the oil and gas industry - Researching, analyzing and effectively communicating proposed regulatory changes that affect Canadian Natural’s operations - Working with project teams to develop GHG emissions management strategies to improve compliance and cost effectiveness - Work with the ESG and Investor Relations teams to provide accurate GHG management data for the company’s sustainability reporting and communications to stakeholders and investors - Participate in internal analysis on GHG targets and objectives considering emissions forecasts, credit strategies and compliance obligations - Representing Canadian Natural at industry associations on key GHG management issues - Preparation and submission of methane data annually to regulators in BC, AB, and SK - Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual emissions reports for conventional operations - Coordinate reporting to the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) for NA E&P operations. - Coordinate reporting to the Annual Emissions Inventory Reporting Program in Alberta Other Details: - Job location: Calgary, AB - Shift Schedule: 5x2 – Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day - Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy - Competitive salary, stock options, stock savings plan and benefits Skills & Qualifications: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry - A degree in engineering or a related discipline - Knowledge of provincial and federal GHG reporting methodologies and experience with oil and gas facilities and processes (specific to Western Canadian oil and gas operations) - Strong proficiency in database management, spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word) - Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills, along with accuracy and attention to detail, are critical to this role Why Canadian Natural?
