What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design fire alarm, intrusion security, CCTV, and card access systems based on project specifications
- Organize and maintain job folders, ensuring all pertinent information is readily available
- Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine project requirements and risks
- Provide start-up and checkout documentation for NFPA UL certification
- Prepare engineering re-estimates and communicate effectively with sales and operations management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of engineering/systems design experience in commercial security systems
- Strong knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations
- Proficiency in programming, job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management, and AutoCAD
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- NICET Fire Alarm Certification
- Fully proficient and independent design skills
- Experience designing medium to large jobs with deviations from standard practices
