      Alliance is the largest exclusive air emissions stack testing and environmental services company in the United States. Alliance Technical Group is filling a Project Scientist position. These Project Scientist positions are in the Bryant, AR area. The Project Scientist positions are a great opportunity to join a growing company while developing your own career.       Responsibilities for the Project Scientist positions:

      • Performs technical work in the fields of environmental science, water quality, aquatic biology, natural resource management, and wetlands science (under specific and general supervision) including data collection, data analysis, and document preparation required to complete the company projects. Requires projects be completed within time and budget constraints.
      • Performs general environmental field sampling including preparation for studies, actual field work, cleanup, and documentation of work. Studies may include biological, physical and chemical sample collection/measurement, physical characteristics evaluation including habitat analyses and data evaluation, and simple chemical measurements, water quality sampling including clean metals techniques sampling, and data analyses including Hach kit, Winkler, fluorometer and other field kits.
      • Performs data entry, editing, analysis, plotting, and file manipulation on personal computers (e.g., EXCEL, SYSTAT, ACCESS).
      • Performs scientific research and literature reviews and extracts required information and data.
      • Communicates project and company related information to senior project scientists, project managers and other in-house personnel as necessary:
        • Writes letters, memos, technical reports, and summaries
        • Orally communicates project findings in meetings
      Salary: $45,000+ based on experience

      Educational/Experience Requirements:

      No experience required but 1-3 years experience is preferred in a similar or related field. Advanced degrees count towards experience. Minimum education for this position is a bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or similar field. Masters Degree is preferred.
