  Job Title: Environmental ScientistJob Description

  We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Scientist to handle a variety of tasks including environmental investigations, assessments, and regulatory compliance. This role involves conducting asbestos and lead paint inspections, overseeing remediation processes, and performing field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental investigations and assessments.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance related to environmental standards.
  • Perform asbestos and lead paint inspections and oversee remediation processes.
  • Monitor abatement projects in the field, adhering to applicable regulations.
  • Conduct XRF testing and accurately record data.
  • Provide technical support and prepare detailed reports.

  Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Environmental Science.
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification.
  • Asbestos Project Monitor Certification.
  • Proficiency in air monitoring.
  • OSHA 40 Hazwoper Certification.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in technical support and report writing.
  • Air Sampling Technician certification.
  • Proficiency in environmental remediation and inspections.
  • OSHA 30 certification.

  Work Environment

  The position involves traveling across projects located throughout the five boroughs, requiring site-to-site mobility. You will work with a collaborative team of 5-7 professionals, performing a variety of environmental tasks including air monitoring, regulatory compliance, and remediation oversight.   Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
