Escrow Assistant (Illinois & Missouri)

Job Description

- Open, process, and help close escrow transactions.
- Collect, review, and maintain transaction documents.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties.
- Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, and closing documents.
- Order title, lien, HOA, and survey reports as needed.
- Coordinate notarizations and signing appointments.
- Provide professional communication and proactive follow-up.
- Verify wire instructions and maintain transaction files.
- Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and company policies.
- Use escrow management software (e.g., Qualia) to complete tasks.
- Strong accuracy, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
- Familiarity with escrow or transaction management software (Qualia a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High School diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred.
- 2+ years of proven experience in escrow or title preferred.
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, real estate transactions, and relevant laws and regulations.

Work Schedule: Standard business hours based on local time zone, Monday - Friday. Schedule may be determined by manager.
Travel Requirements: Quarterly travel may be required to attend broker events, engage with regional or state partners, and visit the JV offices as business needs dictate
Location Requirements: Candidates must be based in the U.S. and reside in the state of Illinois or Missouri to be considered.
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Escrow Assistant to support the Escrow Officer in managing real estate transactions from opening to closing. You'll coordinate documents, communicate with all parties, and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely closings.
