Provide a short description of the Position: These Data warehouse and business intelligence positions are required to support the continued development and maintenance of DW/BI solutions in response to critical agency requirements for the WCB. These positions will also develop and maintain Pentaho ETL solutions, Pentaho BI schemas, executive dashboards and analytics. Additionally, these positions respond to all data warehouse and BI related ad hoc inquiry requests, development of dashboard features, and development of BI technical solutions for continued reporting requirements.
Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: 1. Gather and validate of BI and reporting requirements 2 .Document requirements & solutions 3. Perform Data profiling on the source systems 4. Design and review star schema dimensional model to support data warehouse and data marts 5. Perform Source to Target Mapping between source system database and data warehouse target database 6. Develop ETL transformations using the ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 7. Develop reports and analytics using the tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (Pentaho or Tableau, Power BI) 8. Develop complex queries using Transact-SQL leveraging analytic functions 9. Perform necessary Testing 10.Complete Documentation
