      Job summary

      Join the XL Team this year as we seek Event Medical Staff of varying skill levels to support events across the North-East and the UK.

      From first responders working alone at small low risk venues to large teams of multidisciplinary medical staff managing crowds in temporary medical centres, this role offers diverse experiences in event medical services.

      Main duties of the job

      Joining our multi-disciplinary team means continuous learning from seasoned professionals, making it an ideal environment for newcomers to gain valuable insights.

      As a member of the event medical team, your primary focus will be delivering pre hospital care to those who become ill or injured at large scale events.

      Compliance and Onboarding

      As a CQC registered organisation we require candidates to complete our full induction and onboarding processes.

      This will include:

      • Full enhanced DBS check (adults and children) [you may need to pay for this if you cannot provide appropriate evidence]
      • References and Work History
      • Health Declaration and Immunisation History

      • Apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of their clinical scope of practice
      • Must be capable of working alone providing solo first response and confident working with a wider team.
      • Responding to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly, efficiently and promptly;
      • Administering basic life support to patients at the scene, in a pre-hospital/pre-transport setting in accordance with their clinical scope of practice,
      • Assessing the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritise medical procedures to be followed
      • Completing patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion.
      • Cleaning, organising and restocking supplies in a ready condition after each use
      • Respond to requests for emergency and non-emergency medical care at events and other duties related to assisting event staff with general tasks that support the event
      • Handling radio communications professionally and efficiently with careful regard to the divulgence of information respecting confidentiality requests at all times
      • Work cooperatively with assisting agencies. This may include, but is not limited to, the wider Event Staff, Volunteers, security teams, Ambulance Services, event participants and spectators.
      • Be nice, professional, courteous and an all-around happy and pleasant person.

      • Must perform all job responsibilities in a manner that protects patient privacy
      • Is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information
      • Is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation
      • Is expected to actively participate in monthly mandatory training (e-learning) and any other relevant training for their role.

      • Ensure infection prevention and control measures are maintained, readiness, and adherence to quality assurance standards;
      • Be flexible - work shift schedule may vary, and the start and shift times may vary due to the nature of the business;

      • Assure that all certifications and/ or registrations are up-to-date
