What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and assist potentially eligible recipients with the enrollment process into Medicaid and other health plans
- Conduct interviews and provide education on managed care programs and application requirements
- Meet with consumers at various community sites to facilitate enrollment
- Submit completed applications adhering to submission guidelines and deadlines
- Assist current members with recertification processes and documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma
- Minimum one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong presentation abilities
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions and reliable transportation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree (AA/AS)
- Previous experience as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
