What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and assist potentially eligible recipients with the enrollment process into Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Qualified Health Plans
- Conduct interviews and screenings to evaluate eligibility for government programs
- Provide education and support to individuals navigating the health insurance application process
- Maintain professional relationships with community agencies and assist with member recertification
- Participate in community outreach projects and events, working to achieve enrollment goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree (AA/AS)
- Previous experience as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
