      Field Applications Specialist – Customer Training

      The Applications Specialist – Customer Training role provides in-field technical applications support for Leica’s current and "next generation" range of automated Core Histology, Advanced Staining and Pathology Imaging instrumentation and reagents. He or she is expected to support customers by performing trainings and troubleshooting, as well as applications support for customers and sales.

      This very interesting position is located in Barra Funda/São Paulo and reports to Field Applications Supervisor.

      The position is remote, that means that the job can be performed at different locations. Specially during immersion, the job has a stronger presence component.

      Major Responsibilities

      • Prioritize customer training and education on instrumentation in laboratories based upon specific needs and demands in Core Histology, Advanced Staining and Pathology Imaging Instruments;

      • Perform customer training to ensure proper instruments and consumables utilization;

      • Conduct post training follow ups to ensure customer contentment;

      • Promote Leica Biosystems’ portfolio and post-purchase applications support, ensuring the product is effectively meeting or surpassing expectations;

      • Build an in-depth understanding of new product technologies and their applications;

      • Conduct pre-purchase reagent order management needed for evaluations;

      • Analyze consumables technical information and requirements;

      • Setup instrument per factory protocols;

      • Provide science-based customer support for installations, evaluations, training and troubleshooting;

      • Participate on technical investigations and troubleshooting, by using detail-oriented situation assessment, information gathering and employing critical thought process;

      • Keep accurate and up-to-date customer information, in a format that is accessible to the company;

      • Keep close contact with sales, service, backoffice and operation teams to achieve and exceed month, quarter, annual, and strategic results;

      • Engage and communicate effectively with team;

      • Provide leads for commercial funnel increment;

      • Assist product launch process.

      Required Education, Experience, Skills:

      • BS in Life Sciences or equivalent.

      • Histology laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial setting;

      • Ability to handle multiple concomitant demands, from internal and external sources;

      • Excellent time management and organization skills;

      • Goal-oriented complexion, results-driven behavior;

      • Good interpersonal and communication skills;

      • Ethical conduct.

      Travel:

      • This position requires 60-90% travel time, either by car or flying

      • Eventually, travel might be international

      • Must have valid driver’s license

      Language:

      Portuguese / English (advanced)
