Motivate your team and take responsibility for all management issues, develop talent strategy as well as actionable performance measuring system. Support Senior Finance Service Centre Manager Europe to shape and execute a compelling mid & long term business and organization vision for the Finance Service Centre team.
Ensure the Selling Unit ledgers are handled in compliance with all Danaher and Leica finance policies and relevant local regulations to ensure Corporate and Statutory filings are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage and coordinate all operational accounting processes for the Selling Units ledgers including timely and accurate posting of all transactions, releasing of payments, VAT etc
Project work, such as coordinating the implementation of new USGAAP accounting guidelines for the companies in your team.
Play active role in running continuous improvement of the accounting processes in your team and participate in the projects concerning the adoption of modern technologies in your area of scope – Robotic Process Automation.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external corporate compliance regulations for your companies is your top priority
You have a degree in business administration or completed commercial vocational training, a further training to become an accountant is an advantage
You have already gained several years of experience in a financial management function with a focus on accounting
Management of the timely preparation of financial statements in proper quality under USGAAP on a monthly basis and annually for local GAAP and tax
Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of German and/or international balance sheet accounting
You have good people management skills, which you have gained through your previous people management experience
You have gained experience with (tax) auditors and through this good knowledge of German and/or international tax and business law
Very good applied knowledge of SAP
You have good analytical skills and a conscientious, independent way of working, your ability to work in a team and your hands-on mentality complete your profile
Fluent English and German knowledge (written and spoken)

Come join a fantastic team! Your role will be in our HQ in Germany- Wetzlar, you will be leading a highly motivated team, responsible for the continuous, timely and systematic recording of all business transactions in the general and sub-ledgers of our various and numerous sales companies in Europe.
You will be reporting directly to the Senior Finance Service Centre Manager Europe.
As Finance Manager (d/f/m) you are responsible for the management and further development of the accounting team. In doing so, you will ensure compliance with the various country-specific legal requirements and obligations for proper accounting as well as the corresponding group requirements and guidelines.
