- Req#: REQ-854
- Preparation of various financial reports, budget vs. actual variance analysis,and project cost tracking and analysis.
- Assisting plant and headquarters staff in the development of capital, operations, and maintenance budgets and forecasting plant financial performance.
- Monitoring data quality and proper account coding to ensure the integrity within the financial records and the budgeting process.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work schedule and manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work.
- Strong understanding of GAAP guidelines is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the position.

The New Madrid Power Plant is seeking an individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst. The qualified individual will be responsible for moderately complex budget development and review, forecasting and financial reporting and analysis activities.
