What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process daily payments and manage accounts receivable/payable functions
- Coordinate change orders with purchasing in collaboration with team members
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoicing issues
- Engage in cross-training with colleagues to enhance team capabilities
- Assist in communication with internal and customer agencies for effective service delivery
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four (4) years of experience in complex clerical work within fiscal/administrative functions such as accounting, budget management, or payroll
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, financial record keeping, and basic governmental accounting principles
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication abilities
- Ability to perform arithmetic computations and audit financial documents
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic data processing systems for financial management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with accounts payables and accounts receivables
- Familiarity with financial software, such as Peoplesoft Financial Modules
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in a professional setting
- Experience in vendor communication via email, phone, and in person
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively
