      Overview
      The Fitness instructor works under the supervision of the Fitness Manager. Instructs members and guests on the proper use of the strength training and cardiovascular equipment. Monitors participants in fitness area activities. Responsible for general cleanliness of the fitness area.

      What you will do
      • Demonstrates the ability to respond positively to situations that change during the course of a day, month or year.
      • Orients new members and guests to fitness area, demonstrating proper operation of cardiovascular equipment, strength training machines, and flexibility exercises.
      • Attends all scheduled staff meetings, follows proper substitution procedures, arrives on time for scheduled shifts.
      • Performs the required cleaning duties and enforces fitness area policies for members.

      Qualifications

      Education
      • High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

      Experience
      • 1 year Physical education or fitness training (Preferred)

      Licenses and Certifications
      • Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
      • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
