What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as the remote pilot in command for various R&D aircraft platforms
- Conduct preflight planning and inspections of the system
- Support test planning and participate in test rehearsals
- Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for system improvements
- Collaborate with other crewmembers in preparation, execution, and post-test activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Part 61 Private Pilot certificate with Instrument rating
- Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
- Current Class 3 medical
- At least 3 years of relevant experience operating Group 3+ UAS
- Significant UAS experience, including >300 hours and >200 sorties
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Part 61 Commercial pilot certificate
- Experience in support of new aircraft or systems development
- Acceptance testing experience
- Basic CAD and manufacturing experience
- Aircraft, ground station, and/or subsystem design and build experience
