- Load outbound trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Unload inbound trailers with precision.
- Handle loose boxes off trailers when required.
- Organize and load city trailers with proper freight counts.
- Unload city trailers, confirm freight counts, cube all freight, and ensure proper placement.
- Utilize a handheld scanner effectively.
- Follow directions from dispatchers and ensure dock cleanliness by emptying garbage each shift.
- Perform a pre-trip inspection of the forklift before each use.
- Lead and manage a team during the afternoon shift, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Forklift operation, specifically sit-down forklift.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Cross-dock and trailer management experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with sit-down forklifts.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- 6 months of experience leading a team of at least 2 people.
- Experience in unloading, loading, and LTL operations.
- AB certification is preferred.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Forklift Lead to join our dynamic team in a cross-dock facility. This role involves overseeing and participating in the loading and unloading of trailers, managing freight, and leading a team on the afternoon shift.

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily within a cross-dock facility, catering to major clients. While the position requires office-based organizational duties 85% of the time, it also demands hands-on involvement with forklift operations and manual tasks as needed. The facility features 27 doors, of which 20 are currently in use. The team culture is collaborative, with a small, tenured office team and a dock team composed mainly of agency staff. The shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, 14:00 to 22:30, with a dress code of comfortable attire and necessary PPE.
