      Job Description

      Join a dynamic and efficient team at our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. We specialize in container management and racking systems, handling a variety of containers and racks. This role is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced environment. The main tasks involve cleaning, sorting, repairing, and managing the flow of containers and racks, with opportunities for forklift operation and career advancement.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate washing machines to clean plastic totes, involving loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and scanning.
      • Process inbound containers and racks using a hand scanner, standing for the entire shift with breaks.
      • Remove manufacturer tags from containers and racks.
      • Repair large plastic containers using hand drills and screwdrivers, standing for the entire shift.
      • Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, occasionally stepping off to manage paperwork and ensure correct shipment of containers.

      Essential Skills

      • Minimum of 6 months of recent labor or forklift experience.
      • Ability to pass a forklift test, including driving forward and backward through cones and handling pallets.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
      • Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime and Saturdays.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is beneficial.
      • Proficiency in operating hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers.

      Work Environment

      Work in a newly expanded warehouse, built in 2023, maintaining a temperature of 50+ degrees in winter and warmer in summer. The facility runs a sweeper twice a week, ensuring cleanliness. With 10 employees and 1 supervisor, the environment is fast-paced. Shift options include 1st Shift (M-F 6a-2:30p), 2nd Shift (M-F 2p-10:30p), and 3rd Shift (Sun-Thurs 9:30p-6a). Training and orientation take place on the first day in East Moline, on 1st shift, starting at 7am and may last up to 3 days.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
