At our Orlando, Florida facility we manufacture airport ground support equipment, including aircraft deicers, aircraft tow tractors, cargo loaders and transporters. The FP&A / Cost Analyst role will be responsible for providing FP&A support to the Global GSE Controller for all domestic, international and new acquisition locations. This role will also work with teams from across the business (Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing managers) to understand and build effective cost, revenue, and financial efficiency models. The work will vary from quick-turn ad hoc analysis to help the decision-making process for Sr. Management, journal entry and recon preparation, variance explanation, to detailed cost/revenue models for budget and forecasts– all in the pursuit of helping grow the understanding and measurement of Revenue and Costs of the Global Business Unit. This position will also work closely with Internal and external audit teams for Internal control/SOX procedures and documentations. Responsibilities Provide financial target setting, reports and controls Responsible for Internal Corporate financial reporting and business analysis Spearhead the preparation and coordination of the Global GSE budget and forecasts Support GSE in reaching financial KPIs and strategic objectives Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts Develop tools and techniques to analyze financial statements and identify potential issues Coordinate Costing Information Across the BU, works closely with personnel in several functional departments including operations, purchasing, quality, sales and engineering. Interacts with accounting personnel at GSE international sites/facilities. Works with sales, purchasing and engineering to develop or review accurate new product cost estimates Investigate Manufacturing Variances: Analysis of manufacturing variances including purchase price variances, work order variances, inventory adjustments, scrap expenses, burden and absorption variances. Investigate variances of significance Analyze complex financial scenarios to provide detailed insight into business drivers and potential value creation opportunities Ensure compliance on SOX controls, statutory policies, and JBT Financial Standards Perform and review global account reconciliations Collect data for yearly Operations Review, Budget and Mid-Year Forecast and other reviews as per Controller’s request Work with external and internal auditors to answer questions and provide documentation Work with Orlando key managers to answer questions related to budgets and departmental variances Participate in task force teams forced to address procedural and control issues in Orlando Participate as necessary to ensure company remains SOX compliant Produce ad hoc analyses and reports for site, divisional, group and corporate management as requested Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Accurate and capable of complex analytical reasoning and can demonstrate strong analytical skills Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a good working knowledge of GAAP/IFRS Min of 3 years of FP&A experience in a manufacturing setting 3-5 years of Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting High level of expertise with financial analysis tools including spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau, OneStream, and other financial tools and databases and word processing software Knowledge of use of financial/valuation metrics, valuation principles, forecasting and accounting principles Speed and accuracy in data entry, with the ability to review / audit own work and the work of others Ability to handle multiple tasks while completing assigned workload on a timely basis Excellent overall understanding of ERP Systems and Relational Databases CPA and/or CMA highly desirable MBA or completed course work at the graduate school level and experience in a public accounting firm a plus Global experience a plus Additional Training: Project Mgt, SOX, GAAP, IFRS, ASC606, and ASC842 Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications: Tableau, SQL, Syteline, Hyperion, OneStream, SAP, Statistical tools, database management Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, work environment, supervisor responsibilities, safety and so on): Work Environment- Minimum travel may be required; Office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor Physical Demands- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Frequent computer and phone use. Requires repetitive finger motion and fine finger manipulation when typing.
