- Support freight optimization initiatives through analysis of transportation and logistics data
- Maintain freight reporting dashboards and metrics related to transportation cost, service levels, and carrier performance
- Analyze freight cost trends and assist with identifying cost reduction opportunities
- Prepare operational reports to support supply chain and logistics decision making
- Assist with monitoring freight budget performance and reporting variances
- Support freight invoice validation and resolution of discrepancies with carriers or freight forwarders
- Assist with Duty Drawback documentation preparation and regulatory compliance activities
- Maintain transportation related operational procedures and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics and supply chain operations
- Assist with internal and external audits related to freight operations and transportation compliance
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, repair shops, finance, and supply chain teams to support transportation execution
- Support freight related projects and initiatives assigned by the Freight Optimization Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or industrial engineering, or related field with a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience or 4 years’ experience and education in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze operational data and produce actionable reports
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
- Basic knowledge of transportation processes including carriers, freight services, and shipping documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment supporting supply chain activities
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools
- Familiarity with international shipping processes and Incoterms
- Exposure to freight cost analysis, transportation reporting, or freight audit processes
- Experience supporting process improvement or logistics optimization initiatives
- Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain improvement exposure preferred
DescriptionPosition Summary
The Freight Optimization Analyst supports freight management and transportation performance across the AGS supply chain network. The role focuses on analyzing transportation data, maintaining freight performance reporting, and supporting initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency while maintaining service levels and on-time delivery.
Working closely with logistics, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams, the analyst assists with identifying trends, supporting freight cost optimization initiatives, and maintaining transportation performance metrics. The role also supports compliance documentation, freight invoice validation, and audit preparation activities related to transportation operations. The position is located on-site at the Orlando, Florida headquarters and supports the global Aviation Global Services supply chain network responsible for aftermarket aviation products and services.

-Freight Operations Expertise: Hands-on experience in freight operations, including optimization activities, analyzing transportation and logistics data, supporting freight invoice validation, and maintaining freight reporting dashboards and audit documentation.
-Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook—are essential. Experience with Power BI is a mandatory requirement.
Additionally, candidates with prior experience in logistics optimization or process improvement initiatives will be strongly preferred. Familiarity with international shipping processes, especially within the US regulatory environment, is also highly valued
