Responsible for analysis and development of functionality to deliver to business requirements in C++ and Python
Responsible for performing analysis and development of quantitative valuation, risk and P&L, marking, calibration, and controls functionality in Kannon using C++ and Python
Support the Build-out of Global Markets strategic analytics platform in partnership with Corporate and Investment Bank Technology
Responsible for working closely with trading, quants, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust, reliable, and performant solutions
Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++ / Python, or other object-oriented language
Experience working on large scale software development projects in C++ and/or Python in the financial services industry
Excellent written / verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task different projects and prioritize in a fast-paced production environment
Attention to detail and excellent problem solving & numerical skills
Previous strats/quant/developer experience working in a front-office / trading floor environment
Knowledge of derivatives products, risk and P&L, market data
Academic background in Computer Science / Financial Engineering / Quantitative Finance
Ability to work on both “back end” (serverside, or analytics/pricing code) as well as “front end” (clientside, or user-facing application / User Interface (UI) code)
An open mind and aspiration to use, learn, and extend a large codebase dealing with complex business problems

Overview
You will be joining the Kannon Franchise Pricing Strat team which is part of the Group Strategic Analytics function across all asset classes and combines expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing, and risk management with deep understanding of system architecture and programming. The primary output is a scalable and flexible Front Office pricing and risk management system with consistent interface to both the Middle Office and Back Office. The Strats team is responsible for delivery of the Kannon platform, delivering intraday and end-of-day pricing, risk and Profit & Loss (P&L) for the Bank’s trading businesses globally. The team deliver innovative solutions to business requirements, ensuring that these solutions are accurate, performant, robust, reliable, and scalable. The Kannon platform aims to integrate front office functions into a single architecture, removing duplication, and operational complexity caused by fragmentation of these functions across 30+ legacy platforms.

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $135,000 to $175,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
