      Position Summary

      The Game Day Assistant is a part-time, 10 hours/week position (Game Dependent) and is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Athletics of Business & Special Projects and/or Associate Director of Athletics for Budget & Planning in all aspects of game day operations. Hours are dependent on home football, basketball, and championship events.

      Communication:
      Clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with persons inside and outside of the organization. Student Employee will need to have general awareness of University Athletic Happenings and game operations awareness. This will then be communicated to guests attending the event.
      Teamwork:
      Build and maintain collaborative relationships to work effectively toward common goals, while appreciating diverse viewpoints and shared responsibilities. Belonging to a ticketing team of approximately 10 individuals who will work together to ensure seamless welcome into venue.
      Professionalism:
      Knowing work environments differ greatly, understand and demonstrate effective work habits, and act in interest of the larger community and workplace. Athletics is a public facing entity of the university with many guests entering our facility. We expect student employees to be good stewards of the university and embrace the visitors as guests of the Gannon family.

      Essential Functions of Game Day Assistant:
      1. Assist in greeting and accounting for season and complimentary ticketholders.
      2. Manage general admission ticket sales. Must be comfortable managing cash exchanges, checkout software, and working with customers with professionalism and clear communication as stated above.
      3. Monitor seat assignments during the basketball season, to ensure season ticketholders are accommodated.
      5. Must be able to follow instruction and work independently to achieve outlined goals within ticketing team.
      6. Other duties as assigned.
      Required Qualifications
      • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Gannon University preferably with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
      • Flexible hours according to game scheduled , nights and weekends are a must
      Preferred Qualifications
      • General business knowledge and comfort with cash exchange
      • Understanding of modern technology and use of Software
      • Genuine interest and excitement in sharing athletics department success with community
      Physical Demands
      • Be able to stand for greater than 60 minutes
      • Be able to transport ticketing needs and other moderately sized materials to various campus locations

      Required Qualifications

      Must be a current student at Gannon University.

      Preferred Qualifications

      An interest in sport management, business, or other related field.

      Physical Demands

      Must be able to meet the physical demands.

      Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a busy University setting. The work schedule will vary depending on the number of home events. Predominately evening and weekend responsibilities.
