Cleveland Gear is a longtime gear manufacturer with a rich history. Our products include: Open Gearing (Worm, Helical & Spur), a wide range of Standard Enclosed Drives, Custom Enclosed Drives and Gearbox Refurbishment. We are seeking an experienced Territory Manager/ Industry Specialist for the NW Indiana and greater Chicago area. This territory has a strong emphasis of calling on all of the local steel mills.
Reporting to the V.P. of Sales & Marketing, this position's key responsibilities include: Planning and executing a sales plan, making sales calls, managing customer relationships, securing new and repeat business from a strong base of existing customers with particular emphasis in the steel industry.
The successful candidate will have a BS degree in mechanical engineering and seven or more years of successful of successful sales experience selling Power Transmission products and related components (gears, enclosed drives) to OEM's, Steel Users and Distributors. Candidate should have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the customer. Ideal candidates are required to work independently and have the skills to develop and execute plans that lead to the accomplishment of sales goals. No relocation is required; candidates should reside in the area described above. Some overnight travel is necessary.
