We have an opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Garth, a category BCategory B men's prison, located in the village of Ulnes Walton, in Lancashire. The site houses around 800 patients aged 21+ with a range of needs including long term conditions, mental health, substance misuse and acute needs.
Hours
3 sessions per week to be worked Monday 8am-12pm Friday8am-12pm+ one weekday morning (flexible).
This position is part time working 12 hours per week.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary between£103,600and£124,320per annum FTE depending on experience.

Job responsibilities
As a GP you will respond to medical problems presented by patients including diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate in line with guidelines and pathways. Including prescribing for patients, regularly review medications and monitor repeat prescriptions.
You will;
Provide medical leadership and expert advice, regarding medical and primary care issues to the wider healthcare team; engaging with the Practice Plus Group wellbeing approach
Deliver effective patient care developing high levels of communication with patients; identifying and utilising evidence based best practice through benchmarking and clinical guidelines. Undertaking appropriate clinical audit to improve clinical outcomes
Inspire and develop positive collaborative working relationships across the multidisciplinary team; working with the wider team to ensure effective clinical governance is incorporated into day to day practice
Promote multidisciplinary discussions around complex case management, ensuring systems and processes in place for managing results, letters, and tasks. Undertake clinical risk assessments and implement management strategies for risks
Share and disseminate acquired knowledge with all team members through development sessions and clinical governance meetings or clinical case reviews
