      Nasdaq is looking for a leader to head up the company’s newly established Global Corporate Newsroom. In this capacity, you will play a critical role in engaging our global audience with compelling content that brings to life Nasdaq’s business performance, transformation, and the company’s impact as it executes on its long-term vision to becoming the trusted fabric of the world’s financial system.
      In this role, you will work closely with Nasdaq’s leadership and across business units and functional areas to identify the developments and milestones that can be leveraged as part of the corporate news agenda, and work with the wider communications team across content creation, creative treatment, and optimized distribution across channels.

      Your expertise in financial and/or technology journalism, leadership skills, and passion for multimedia storytelling will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our newsroom and brand.

      Responsibilities

      Global Newsroom Management:
      • Oversee and lead the in-house newsroom, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration among the communications team and the business team.
      • Coordinate coverage of company news and insights and provide comprehensive and timely reporting.
      • Maintain editorial standards and guidelines, ensuring all content adheres to journalistic ethics and accuracy.

      Content Production:
      • Produce 2-3 high-quality news stories per week, covering various aspects of the Nasdaq’s story including its commercial successes, product innovations, unique insights, and leadership perspectives from the executive team.
      • Conduct in-depth research and interviews with key stakeholders to develop informative and insightful articles.
      • Collaborate with other content colleagues and subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive coverage of company topics.

      Multi-Media Projects:
      • Develop and manage multimedia projects, such as video interviews, podcasts, data visualizations, and interactive features, to enhance audience engagement.
      • Work closely with the multimedia team to create compelling and informative content that complements written articles.

      Audience Growth and Newsletter Development:

      • Strategize and implement plans to increase website traffic and grow the audience base.
      • Develop and manage a newsletter, delivering curated company news and exclusive insights to subscribers regularly.
      • Utilize email marketing best practices to optimize newsletter engagement and audience retention.

      Collaboration and Communication:
      • Collaborate with various departments within the organization, including marketing and PR, to align messaging and maintain consistency across platforms.
      • Work closely with the social media team to amplify content reach and engagement on different social channels.

      Performance Tracking and Analysis:
      • Monitor content performance metrics, including website traffic, engagement, and newsletter open rates, to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
      • Provide regular reports and insights to the management team regarding audience growth and content performance.

      • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
      • Experience Required: At least 10 years

      The base pay range for this role is $104,700 - $174,500. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
