- Owns and oversees the daily international broadcast and digital distribution strategy, aligning schedules with regional priorities, seasonal considerations, and audience relevance
- Establishes and executes final quality-control standards for international content, ensuring accuracy and consistency across distribution platforms
- Analyzes international media partnership performance by tracking key metrics and recommending improvements to leadership
- Prepares videos and audio for localization using subtitles, voice-overs, or approved AI voice cloning to support accurate foreign‑language translation
- Evaluates, pilots, and recommends new AI-driven translation and localization solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality of global media distribution
- Leads quality-control of AI-assisted translations by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and ministry alignment
- Serves as a subject-matter contributor for global content review, advising on international audience impact. Prepares final files and metadata; coordinates timely delivery for international syndication and digital release
- Attends weekly staff meetings and bi-weekly content meetings
- Maintains communication with international counterparts, building a service-oriented relationship with Associate Offices and ministry partners
- Represents global impact and needs in all meetings and work
- Performs other duties, including but not limited to duties as assigned, some of which may include the development and creation of a variety of copyrightable works (e.g., print, photography, voice work, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in any and all media and formats (such as television, radio, internet, , satellite and digital) on a world-wide basis, all of which shall be for the benefit of Focus on the Family

- Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, or Communications
- 2-4 years of experience in a combination of broadcast programming and ministry/business development
- International experience preferred
- In depth knowledge of Focus on the Family mission, philosophy, values, and objectives
- Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in multi-cultural settings
- Self-directed and highly motivated, yet also a team player
- Well-developed social skills; tactful; ability to make good first impression
- Prior experience using ProTools for audio editing preferred
- Prior experience using Adobe Premier for video editing preferred
- Knowledge of AI technology that supports media translation to improve workflow efficiency
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work for extended periods with spreadsheets and scheduling tools
- Awareness of diverse cultural perspectives on social, political, and religious issues
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while handling multiple projects and changing schedules
- Able to learn and organize digital upload systems
- Ability to independently resolve complex workflow, technical, and cross‑cultural challenges within global media distribution, exercising sound judgment within established policy frameworks

The Global Media Specialist position exists to serve as a key contributor to Focus on the Family’s global media strategy by owning the end-to-end distribution and localization of international audio and video content. This role provides operational leadership for international broadcasts, drives continuous improvement in AI-assisted translation and localization workflows, and ensures culturally appropriate, high-quality content delivery across diverse global platforms. This position exercises independent judgement, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to optimize global reach and ministry impact.
