- Works with the Assistant/Associate Dean for the School of Graduate, Adult and Extended Studies to develop strategies and plans to meet departmental objectives, active involvement in development and implementation of these objectives.
- Works closely with academic deans, program directors and faculty to coordinate recruiting efforts and to collaborate on initiatives to grow graduate enrollment.
- Conducts meaningful and ongoing research of trends in graduate program recruitment to ensure use of current strategies and best practices. Regularly analyzes data to measure outcomes of recruiting strategies and identify successful initiatives.
- Track record of meeting enrollment targets and experience managing teams.
- Professional level communication skills and the ability to communicate successfully with various constituencies, including external contacts
- Well-developed marketing skills, including the ability to develop and refine marketing strategies to fit specific programs, a strong understanding of how to leverage social media, the web, and internet marketing to enhance enrollment.
- Strong project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of the best practices in graduate and adult student enrollment
- Working knowledge of graduate financial aid practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software packages, such as Excel and Word.
- Exceptional administrative and team building skills 12. Evidence of entrepreneurial strength, strategic thinking, innovative attitude, strong. Business acumen, fiscal accountability, and willingness to experiment.
- Ability to function independently on complex issues
- Understanding of compliance and regulations related to higher education, the graduate admissions process, and the graduate enrollment process
- Supenrise the graduate enrollment team, Admissions and Academic Advisor and Graduate Admissions Coordinator promoting teamwork and an encouraging and positive work environment.
- Ability to travel as necessary. Willingness to work weekends and evenings when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in higher education recruiting or marketing, preferably with adult and graduate populations preferred.
- Three (g) or more years of experience of supervising professional staff members preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, planning, problem solving, creativity, ability to make public presentations, deal with confidential information, and the diverse needs of campus visitors.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, self-motivated, possess strong organizational skills, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
- Superior organizational ability.
- Effective writing and speaking skills. Exceptional student and customer service focus, including attention to quality.
- Ability and willingness to work irregular hours, evenings, and weekends in addition to regular hours.
- Valid driver's license required or the ability to find reliable transportation to travel on behalf of the university
- Demonstrate knowledge of the DSU fundamentals
- Completion and quality of work according to established guidelines and timelines.
- Reliable attendance and work results.
- Effective interaction and working relationships with co-workers and customers.
The Director is responsible for strategic leadership and operational management of graduate program enrollment efforts. In partnership with others, this position develops marketing, recruitment, and admission forecasting of enrollment for graduate programs. The director oversees and manages the enrollment team and works closely with program directors, ensuring enrollment goals are met. The position within the School Of Graduate, Adult and Extended Studies reports to the Assistant/Associate Dean, School of Graduate, Adult and Extended Studies.The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
