      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Graduate Assistant for Admissions Communications works in partnership with the communications and creative team to generate content through writing, graphic design, photography and videography. Applicants should have a fundamental understanding of the practices and principles of marketing communications and the talent to produce content that communicates the university’s vibrant campus life and academic achievement while also reinforcing the strategic brand messaging of the University of Arkansas.

      The Graduate Assistant position will represent the Office of Admissions at various campus activities, capturing photos and video in support of new student recruitment communications. This position also assists with basic digital graphics, and related projects.

      Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.

      Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


      Qualifications:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Must provide proof of acceptance and be enrolled in a UAF graduate program through the Graduate School

      • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier.

      • Ability to work 20 hours per week with regular, and non-disruptive attendance

      • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Enrolled in Journalism, Communications, Higher Education, or related graduate program

      • Photography and/or videography experience

      • Social media management experience

      • Experience with copywriting and/or editing
