Job Description

- Performs all routine and non-routine maintenance on passenger loading bridges (interior, exterior, console, and dock lights) and interior and exterior painting. This will include bulb and lens replacement. Any electrical issues such as ballast and or fixture replacements will be reported to GSE Supervision.
- This position is responsible for utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment, and material to accomplish maintenance functions including but not limited to the following: inspections, minor troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and replacing components on all GSE functions.
- Performs all routine and non-routine maintenance on air handler hoses, adapters, air filters, condensate pans, and indicator bulbs and lenses. Any inoperative units need to be reported to GSE Supervision.
- Performs all routine and non-routine maintenance on gear boxes, bearings and shafts, roller replacements, belt re-lacing, and belts replacements.
- Staff’s baggage handling system (BHS) control rooms as well as reconciling bag jams to keep BHS flowing.
- Performs all routine and non-routine adjustments of ground power cables and associated clamping/saddles. Reports any inoperative units/retract reels to GSE Supervision.
- The GMM will be responsible for working on stationary equipment: water cabinets, loading bridges, air handling systems, baggage conveyor systems, and 400 Hz gate power.
- Performs small component repair and build-up of non-specialized components on specialized equipment; the components include but are not limited t: air conditioning adapters, water cabinet adapters, baggage carrousel bumpers, and dock light controllers.

- High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Have a minimum of one year demonstrated ability in an industrial maintenance repair/support role or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including fixed or rotating shifts, both indoors and outdoors, including traveling, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
- Must achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to assess performance.
- Must have experience with industrial AC/DC controls, and high and low voltage systems.
- Proficiency in the repairing of electrical circuits including motors and variable frequency drives.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Must have Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience with some programming experience in the following systems: Allen Bradly PLC5, SLC 500, SLC 5000, and Micro Logix systems.
- Ability to communicate while working as a team and coordinating repairs with other GMTs and outside vendors.
- Respond to customers' needs with minimum direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations.
- Electrical/Relay knowledge: Understanding and proficiency in repairing 12 to 50 VAC/DC control circuits, 120 VAC single-phase electrical circuits and control circuits, 480 VAC 3-phase electrical systems.
- PLC Controls/Network: Proficiency and knowledge of repairing PLC and the associated computer network systems.
- Industrial Maintenance/Conveyor Systems/Passenger Loading Bridges (PLB): Knowledge of system operations for PLB, system operation for conveyor systems and heavy equipment maintenance on hydraulics/electrical/mechanical on large industrial machinery.
- Industrial A/C refrigeration: Knowledge of high-pressure point-of-use pre-condition air systems, low-pressure glycol chiller systems, and repair and isolate system failures, as well as the related software for both high- and low-pressure control circuits systems.
- 400 Hz Generator/Inverter Ground Power: Strong understanding of electronic and electrical components and proficiency at identifying problems and repairing and rebuilding them. A background in 400 Hz, testing equipment as needed to perform repair/overhaul, and the ability to read electrical schematics and drawings are required. Familiarity with Jetpower II, Jetpower Plus, and CSI units. Experience operating passive and resistive load banks and working in an electronics environment.

This is a full-time position within Delta’s Ground Support Equipment (GSE) business group. The GMM in a stationary role performs the associated duties and tasks of a semi-skilled industrial maintenance mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of stabilized stationary machinery and equipment. Your key maintenance functions will include, but not limited to, the following: inspections, minor troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and replacing components, cleaning, assembly. The GMM may also assist a Ground Maintenance Technician or Lead Ground Maintenance Technician on other stationary equipment as needed.Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.49 to $38.25. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon experience and several other offered premiums (Examples would include but not limited to - Refrigeration, Welding, ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), or Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (CIMM) licenses, Shift differential in certain areas).
