THE ROLE - based in our Cheltenham office This role will be accountable for implementing and delivering upon sales plans and targets that align with the overall strategic business plan for APT Groups and Charter business unit. Working closely with the General Manager Sales, Groups Team, and influencing the APT Sales and Operational teams to ensure Groups (mass passenger movement) objectives are met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Achieving Sales targets for Groups, Charter and Incentive (large group) bookings * Identifying new sales opportunities for Groups, Charter and Incentive travel business across all channels (trade and direct) in the Australia and New Zealand * Develop effective contact management strategy to record the life cycle of all leads * Develop and execute communication strategies and marketing plans to ensure APT Groups, Charter and Incentive capabilities is promoted effectively * Liaise with key operational support areas within APT to ensure innovative, effective and efficient strategies for product development which meet competitive requirements * Implementation of an effective sales strategy for key (trade) accounts * Captivating the customer experience for all customers and adding value at every touch point * Increasing awareness of APT groups/charter program via trade and direct channels * Completing monthly report on all sales activity to be sent to General Manager Sales * Monitoring the Sales revenue, margin and performance and initiating corrective action where required REQUIREMENTS * Service and enhance relationships with key APT accounts in conjunction with State Managers and National Sales Team * Providing leadership and strategic direction for APT Groups, Charters and Incentives aligning with a broader business plan * Identifying new market opportunities using a variety of marketing and outreach strategies to generate and nurture new accounts * Work closely with the sales team ensuring APT Groups, Charters and Incentives receives appropriate level of attention and exposure across all sales activities * Where appropriate, attend key functions and events in conjunction with sales team to develop relationships with key trade partners * Closely engage with Groups Team to team to understand challenges, issues and provide feedback and suggestions on groups handling ABOUT YOU * Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the travel industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales target * Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and sales targets * Previous Group Sales experience highly advantageous * Strong data analytics and financial literacy skills * Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to actively listen, understand customer needs, and provide appropriate solutions. * Flexibility to adapt with changing travel trends, customer demands, and industry developments * Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively at multiple levels of the organisation to get things done * Passion for travel and a genuine interest in providing memorable experiences to customers WHAT WE OFFER * Flexible workplace culture with hybrid working model * Bonus week of leave if requirements met * Highly engaged team and great company culture * Chance to give back via our workplace giving initiatives through our One Tomorrow Foundation including volunteer leave * Wellbeing program and learning & development opportunities * Experience our premium products with familiarisation trips * Onsite parking, close to public transport and Westfield Southland OUR VALUES Our values are at the heart of our organisation and the foundation of our culture.
