      The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is looking for world class talent in Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineering to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75 year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

      The selected candidate will join a Mission Systems (MS) Hardware Integration Team within an I&T Organization responsible for the integration and test of supplier procured subsystem equipment that supports the implementation of Mission Systems capabilities. This engineer will be deployed to a Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Agile team and will work directly with development, integration, and deployment to Consumer off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and subsystem equipment within a laboratory environment. This engineer must possess a willingness to investigate issues between various subsystems and be proactive in addressing issues.

      An ideal candidate will either be familiar with or interested in gaining familiarity with how modern embedded hardware is used on tactical aircraft and comprehending the fundamentals of Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) as it applies to workstations and embedded hardware. For this specific position, a background in hardware, workstation, and network integration and associated capabilities would be very desirable. Candidate must be open-minded to embracing new approaches to continuously integrating, testing, and delivering aviation mission systems relative to legacy waterfall programs. Candidate should expect to be asked at times to conduct business in vastly revolutionary ways than to which they are accustomed. Candidate must have strong technical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


      This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.

      This position is in Marietta, GA Discover Marietta. • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education • Strong oral and written communication skills needed to coordinate integration activities between various user and test communities

      • Strong desire to solve problems at a networked system-of-system level

      • Experience with Agile development process

      • Working Knowledge of the setup of linux based Operating Systems, such as Red Hat, Fedora and CentOS

      • Experience with containerization of software, such as docker and Kubernetes a plus

      • Experience with hardware configuration using Ansible a plus

      • Experience with integration of hardware into a laboratory environment a plus

      • Experience with hardware and embedded hardware in a flight test environment a plus

      • Working Knowledge of Aircraft Mission Systems and Familiarity with the Operational Use of a Modern Tactical Airborne Platform a plus

      • Active Top Secret Clearance w/ last completed investigation in last 5 years
