      York School District One is seeking a motivated Head Coach and program leader to lead our boys’ and girls' basketball program at York Middle School into a competitive region.


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior successful assistant or head coaching experience at the middle school level, preferably 3 or more years.
      • Committed to building the program at York Middle School
      • Committed to mentoring and leading the program and working effectively with the middle school administration to build a top-notch program.
      • Must be a great communicator and teammate to the school and have the ability to build positive and committed relationships with students, staff members, parents, and community citizens.
      • Knowledge of basketball and teaching proper techniques of basketball.
      • Knowledge of South Carolina High School League basketball rules and regulations.
      • Energetic and organized to promote school and community spirit. Relates well with students and middle school programs.
