      TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.

      As Head of Process, Tools & Compensation, you’ll lead a global team responsible for continuously improving our HR systems and delivering robust processes, policies, and practices that bring TGS' HR strategy to life—locally and globally.

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Build strategic, long-term partnerships with internal clients and deliver services across all business units.

      • Lead the global Process, Tools, and Compensation & Benefits team to improve systems, ensure compliance, and implement strong, consistent HR processes.

      • Oversee global compensation and benefits programs—from competitive benchmarking and internal impact analysis to cost modeling and implementation.

      • Manage the global payroll function with a focus on consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

      • Maintain and enhance systems that support all global HR processes and ensure smooth integration with our HRIS.

      • Develop a high-performing, diverse global team of payroll and systems professionals, closely aligned with the wider People & Culture organization.

      • Ensure our systems and tools support effective, scalable People & Culture operations worldwide.

      Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

      • 10+ years of experience in HR or client-facing business roles with deep exposure to compensation, benefits, retention, business partnership, leadership development, culture transformation, and/or change management.

      • Proven experience managing international teams.

      Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

      • Leadership: Experienced in building and empowering high-performing international teams.

      • Change Management: Skilled at leading change in complex environments and navigating group dynamics with confidence.

      • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Drives performance by ensuring effective People & Culture processes that balance cost control with competitive positioning. Stays current on industry trends related to compensation, benefits, and workforce strategy.

      • Innovation: Comfortable challenging the status quo, improving existing systems, and introducing smart, scalable solutions.

      • Analytics: Brings strong financial insight and analytical skills to support informed decision-making.

      • Knowledge & Experience: Strong technical understanding of HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems—especially implementation, configuration, and issue resolution.

      This position will be based out of our Oslo or Houston office location.
