- Wastewater Technician I ($20.00/ hr)
- No experience is required but must have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within one year of employment.
- Wastewater Technician II ($21.00/ hr)
- Must currently possess a Class B CDL in the state of Texas.
- Wastewater Technician III ($23.15/ hr)
- Must currently possess a Class B CDL in the state of Texas with Tanker Endorsement within 12 months of employment.
- Must currently possess a TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) Class C Water Distribution and/or Class II Wastewater Collections license.

The Wastewater Division manages the daily operations of Southlake's sewer system. The Division supports the collection system to over 7,500 sanitary sewer customers and repairs and performs preventative maintenance on over 200 miles of wastewater pipeline, as well as 13 collection system lift stations.
Specifically, the Heavy Equipment Operator- Wastewater operates a variety of heavy equipment in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and development of the streets and drainage systems, water distribution, sewer collection systems, or parkland and recreation facilities. This is accomplished by operating tractor backhoes, crane hoists, motor graders, Gradall excavators, crack sealers, tractors for mowing, gas and electrical metal welders, hydraulic sewer main cleaners, and/or other equipment and machinery.
