      Job summary

      This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist wanting to further develop their managerial skills alongside their highly specialist clinical skills. If you have significant experience in the field of ALD and/or Special SEND, we would welcome your application. You would be joining a highly respected team of Speech and Language Therapists, Co-workers and Assistants working across three London Boroughs in a variety of settings.

      You will be leading a small Therapy Team of SaLT, OT and Physio at the Bromley Campus of the London South East Colleges (LSEC) group. The Therapy Team service has been developing over the last 10 years and is now contracted on a longer-term basis. The aim of the service is to support young people with SEND to access the college curriculum and prepare for adulthood.

      You will be working alongside other Band 7 SaLTs in the Directorate, supported by the Professional Lead, to develop and implement creative, evidence based and efficient approaches to service delivery. We have a robust supervision and PDR process and are keen to support continuing personal development.

      This post is term time only (38 weeks) but you could consider joining the Oxleas Bank if you are interested in work opportunities during the college holidays.

      Main duties of the job

      Overview of the PostTo work as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Therapy Team Clinical/Operational Lead within the Adult Learning Disabilities Directorate, delivering high quality assessment and intervention to young people attending SEND courses at LSEC Bromley Campus.

      Key Task and Responsibilities

      • To lead, plan and develop the LSEC Therapy Team (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy) at the Bromley Campus ensuring delivery of a high quality, efficient therapy service.
      • To deliver high quality, Specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to people to young people attending SEND courses at LSEC Bromley Campus.
