- Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent as recognised by RCSLT
- Health professions Council Licence to Practice
- Evidence of successful completion of highly specialist courses up to masters degree Equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of national and local Health/Education/Social care policies and practices.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices relating to the identification, definition, Diagnosis, and remediation of disorders of human communication that require expertise within the specialism including a post basic dysphagia Qualification or equivalent.

- Experience of working with complex AAC, rapid response dysphagia, Voice-banking in MND

Job summary
Community Stroke Rehabilitation are looking for an experienced qualified Speech and Language Therapist with significant experience in stroke rehabilitation to join our team and provide specialist assessment and int ervention for adults recovering from a stroke.
The post will be based at the Sedgefield Hospital site and will compose of both a clinical and a leadership role within the team. The successful candidate will work with an established MDT team with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and skilled associates to deliver innovative, evidence-based stroke rehabilitation in patients own homes and out-patient settings to optimise recovery.
The role is diverse and challenging and we are looking for someone to join our friendly team and to meet the needs of patients and bring ideas to the service regarding service delivery and development. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to apply their skills in a flexible, innovative manner and to create solutions to offer our patients an optimal rehabilitation journey.
