- Participates as a senior member of a team of web analytics data engineers carrying out the investigation, design, development, execution, and implementation of web analytics data projects to generate new insights, products, technologies, and intellectual property e.g., Understanding the HP Global B2C / SMB eCommerce Omnichannel Customer Journey to improve the customer experience, Defining web analytics standards and benchmarks. Supporting requirements gathering and implementation on new Store Platforms, implementing analytics monitoring and alerts. Identifying anomaly's requiring further follow-up., Managing changes to our standard analytics reports, dashboards and analytics tracking capabilities to deliver improved understanding of our customers & Delivering ad-hoc analytics reporting using Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics tools
- Gathers business requirements from Stakeholders.
- Creates extensive plans, data collection and analysis procedures and data insight visualizations for assigned projects.
- Collaborates with internal and external partners to perform experiments and validations in accordance with overall plan.
- Collaborates with SMEs to develop procedures for collecting, recording, analyzing, and communicating data for review and feedback.
- Compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance standards.
- Drives innovation and integration of new web analytics data related technologies and practices into projects and activities in the R&D organizations.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
- Extensive use of web analytics methodologies, tools, and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze data. Including use of Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics in an Ecommerce environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent execution skills.
- Experience of implementing Tags and Analytics dataLayers with Google Tag Manager.
- Application and implementation of experimental design, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English
- Ability to effectively communicate research plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and digital advertising technologies and practices
- Knowledge of eCommerce platforms such as Magento
- Knowledge of using data visualization using tools such as Power Bl, Tableau and/or Looker desirable
- Collaborates with peers, junior data scientists and engineers, SMEs and external and internal research and product development partners.
- Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers and Program Core Teams.
- Participates in projects requiring Web Analytics data engineering.
- Moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction on execution of tactics
- Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project.
- Leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically, 4-6 years of General/owner experience.
