Job Description

- Ensure effective management of risks through the commissioning and roll out process
- Observe processes in situ and educating employees around correct and safe process control
- Drive operational ownership and accountability of safety and wellbeing program to lead by example and improve safety culture
- Provide specialist advice, guidance and direction regarding safety issues relevant to specific business units to reduce the risk of injury and potential WorkCover claims in the workplace.
- Undertake key operational equipment risk assessments and log all data into electronic systems that prioritise risk
- Ensure legal compliance with relevant legislation and providing sound technical support and advice on legislation and organisational requirements to stakeholders
- Assist in developing area specific Improvement plans aimed at continuous improvement and risk mitigation, and supporting the teams with its implementation
- Facilitate the development and implementation of various procedures that underpin our health and safety policy
- Ensure high risk activities are monitored and controlled
- Undertake safety governance activities e.g. internal audit to assist with identification of gaps and ongoing improvement
- In conjunction with managers, ensure that all provided personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to all employees and also worn as intended for the entirety of shift when in the workspace and maintained at an acceptable standard.
- Passion, drive and fantastic communication skills
- Strong engagement and stakeholder management experience with ability to demonstrate effective leadership
- Experience in supporting Managers and teams in managing operational safety and health issues
- Good understanding of Safety systems, approaches and relevant legislation
- General understanding of Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Laws, and Injury Management and Return to Work principles.
- Cert IV in Safety or related discipline
- Open Australian Drivers’ Licence

- Someone with Intermediate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Job description
As a HSE Advisor you will diligently support the HSE Team in moving past commissioning and into full production and operation including administration as well as setting up the safe running of our new purpose-built facility.
You will also further support Youfoodz in achieving safety objectives for all its employees, contractors and visitors. This will require high quality advice and partnering with various Departments within Youfoodz to
mitigate safety and health risks and enhance employee wellbeing through empowerment and also systematic approaches which are completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing and Food Safety standards.You will…
