      Position Summary :

      As the HRBP for Bessemer City, you will partner with the Plant Manager and the BC leadership team to drive a culture of safety and performance, strengthen leadership and supervisory capability and improve employee engagement. This role requires an experienced Human Resources leader to be a business partner to the cross-functional leadership working in collaboration with the Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, etc.) (“COEs”) to ensure seamless integration of HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead with confidence, influence with integrity, and foster collaboration to reinforce a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and drive organizational success. They will bring strategic leadership, a focus on organizational effectiveness, and a proven ability to manage change within a matrixed organization. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Bessemer City, North Carolina, where the HRBP is expected to engage directly with employees and leaders.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Provide timely advice and guidance to the Plant Manager and the BC leadership team on people and organizational matters.
      • Proactively develop and implement initiatives to improve leadership and supervisory capability and employee engagement.
      • Establish and reinforce the onsite HR function as a trusted, approachable and professional team through building positive relationships across the plant, demonstrating professional and technical acumen, and balancing the needs of the business, managers and employees in a fair and consistent manner.
      • Analyze organizational culture and climate, proposing and executing action plans to enhance employee engagement and team commitment.
      • Work in collaboration with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective workforce planning, aligned with production plans.
      • Ensure employee relations matters are dealt with in a thorough and objective way and that robust processes are in place to secure procedural fairness and legal compliance.
      • Act as a champion in shaping a workforce that reflects the community in which we operate.
      • Work collaboratively with the HR Centers of Excellence to own the effective coordination of annual people processes for the Plant, including performance, goal setting and compensation reviews.
      • Analyze human capital metrics to proactively address potential issues, and to inform and influence Plant leadership.
      • Network with other regional HRBPs to share best practices and ensure appropriate levels of consistency across our manufacturing sites.
      • Other job duties as may be assigned from time to time.

      Travel Required: Yes (10-15% domestic travel)

      Education and Experience:

      • Degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business or related discipline required.
      • Post graduate qualifications, such as an MBA highly desirable.
      • 5-8 years of experience in an HR Business Partnering or Advisory required.
      • Significant experience within Manufacturing or chemical processing industries preferred.


      Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

      • Strong knowledge of applicable US employment laws and regulations.
      • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP/SuccessFactors.
      • Strong ability to influence without formal authority, earning trust and buy-in across functionally diverse teams.
      • Demonstrated experience with managing change and driving organizational effectiveness.
      • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to varied audiences.
      • Demonstrated exemplary decision-making skills, combining sound professional judgment with high ethical standards.
      • Skilled in building collaborative environments that promote creative problem-solving and innovation.
      • Adept at managing competing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term objectives.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
