      Scope:

      The Human Resources Business Partner will be a key point of contact to day to day employee engagement, front-line leader coaching and primary point of contact for employee relations, recruiting and administration.

      Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities :

      • Providing guidance, support, and coordination in a consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the HR department.
      • Establishing, organizing and supervising the maintenance of department records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
      • Interprets and applies company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs and applicable laws.
      • Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
      • Responsible for selection, recruitment, and interviewing of plant employees and works jointly with supervisory and department heads in the hiring of employees.
      • Responsible for assisting with the welcoming new hires and works jointly with supervisory and department heads.
      • Serves as contact with temporary labor agencies to schedule workers to meet daily production staffing requirements and to process pay records.
      • Analyze training needs to design employee training and development including safety programs.
      • Planning and organizing recognition programs to support HeartLife – employee, culture and community; visitors, luncheons, picnics, recognition, etc.
      • Participates and help with data collection for the Social Responsibility Audits as required.
      • Provides effective guidance to line and department staff, relating to employee concerns, problems, and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
      • Serve as the liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of work-related issues.
      • Educate employees on benefit programs upon hire and during open enrollments.
      • Terminations Notices – mail term letters and COBRA information to past employees, send department notifications, pull employee files to prepare for long-term storage, perform exit surveys.
      • All other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or business administration/management
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR and benefit administration
      • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and HRIS Systems
      • Good communication/interpersonal skills: Interacting with all levels of the organization
      • Must be extremely organized, accurate and detail oriented.

      Physical Demands:

      • Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
      • Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.
      • Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
      • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
      • Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center.
      • Lifting up to 40 pounds
