Job Description

- Develop a high level of business knowledge and strong partnerships with employees and managers on HR related matters.
- Respond to general inquiries from employees regarding employment, training and development, performance, compensation, and employee relations.
- Provide coaching and resources to assist managers with employment law, investigations, coaching, progressive discipline, conditions of employment, accommodations, leaves of absences, terminations and employee development and engagement.
- Resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Participate in recruitment activities, including creating job descriptions, posting jobs, resume review, phone screens, and managing talent pipelines.
- Conduct exit, stay interviews and culture surveys. Provides trending analysis and recommendations to improve overall retention.
- Provide professional HR orientation for new Imagine! leadership staff and be available as a training resource. Provide specific HR training to supervisors on employment law, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation information and procedures.
- Lead and conduct employee investigations related to HR related areas.
- Utilize uniform HR policies, recommend changes to forms and policies and implement final revisions.
- Identify training needs for teams and individuals
- Suggest new HR strategies.
- Provide support or manage areas such as workers compensation, unemployment, and leaves of absences.
- Participate in managers and supervisor trainings.
- Ensure compliance with various federal, state, local regulations as well as Imagine! policies and procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
- Demonstrated business acumen and proactive thought leadership.
- Ability to provide effective training to individuals and groups at all levels.
- Thorough knowledge of EEO regulations and employment law.
- Demonstrated experience with HR metrics.
- Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
- Ability to work effectively with various technologies including word processing software, internet-based databases, and other office equipment.
- Strong organization skills and ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and changing priorities.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
- This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business or related field.
- PHR or SPHR or SHRM certification required.
- 8+ years’ experience in Human Resources in multiple functional areas of HR including employee relations, compensation, learning and development, talent management, performance management and federal and state employment laws.
- Leadership experience and experience in related industry preferred.
- Experience using HRIS technology
- Experience working with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) a plus.
- Travel throughout Boulder/Denver area.
- Standard office environment, requiring sitting for long periods of time at a desk or personal computer.
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to utilize tools, objects, or controls; stoop; effectively communicate through speech; understand verbal communication; and lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Interim Human Resources Manager
FLSA: Exempt ($83K - $94K annually)
Date: January 2024
Purpose of Position - The HRBP will partner with the leadership of the organization and other HR team members to oversee and align all human resources operations with business goals. Responsibilities include managing the relationship with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that provides HRIS and related services to Imagine!. Supports Imagine! through work in multiple functional areas of Human Resources, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, leave administration and recordkeeping. Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations. Assists employees with general HR needs and questions, is a resource for managers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and be collaborative. They will be a seasoned professional with experience in a number of HR functional areas with the ability to support manager and employee needs in a dynamic non-profit environment.
