      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide administrative support by processing payroll-related and hiring paperwork for all city employees
      - Maintain and update complex electronic databases and personnel records while ensuring confidentiality
      - Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding HR matters and provide assistance as needed
      - Coordinate and lead wellness programs, including organizing health fairs and committee activities
      - Ensure compliance with city policies, state and federal laws, and labor contracts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field; or 4 years of relevant education and experience
      - Successful passing of a required background check
      - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
      - Ability to communicate effectively with city employees and residents
      - Proficiency in operating office equipment and software, including electronic databases

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with processing benefits enrollment forms and managing wellness programs
      - Familiarity with Laserfiche and NEOGOV software
      - Prior experience in a governmental or public sector HR role
      - Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace
      - Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
